Learning is a human activity.

My name is
Mikelle Barberi-Weil.
As an assistant professor at Weber State University, I’m endeavoring to provide insight into the taxonomy of learning through business communication, civility, global leadership, and sales leadership.
Purpose.
This website is an exploration of learning theories as it relates to the advent of learning innovations. As emerging leaders in education and professional environments, a determining factor of success is understanding the breakdown of how and why eLearning is a prescription for the pursuit of progression in advancing society forward.
Bio.
After 10 years of sales management experience, raising my children, serving in many executive board positions, and revisiting my educational goals, I joined the Department of Professional Sales at Weber State University, located in beautiful Ogden, Utah. In May of 2014, I became the Assistant Director of the Alan E. Hall Center for Sales Excellence and was named Sales Center director in July 2015.
While serving as President of the Board of Directors for the GOAL Foundation, a non-profit that was founded after the 2002 Winter Olympics, I was able to grow organization revenue while acquiring impactful assets. I am currently serving in my second term on the Community Foundation of Utah Board of Directors while founding the Ogden Circle of Giving philanthropy group.
My research interests include leadership through philanthropy, partnerships, and communication in business. Along with my husband Brent, and our three children, we enjoy all things outdoors, including raising horses and being on trails, rivers, bikes, and skis.
I hold a BS in Professional Sales from Weber State University, a Masters in Leadership from the University of Southern California in the Price School of Public Policy and a PhD from the Graduate School of Education and Psychology from Pepperdine University in Global Leadership and Change. Currently, I am an assistant professor at Weber State University in the College of Engineering and Applied Science and Technology in the Department of Professional Sales.
